Strategy determines the direction of the company and consists of the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of an organization. Business is planned against the strategy.

Key performance indicators (KPI) are assigned to the objectives of the organization to monitor the progress towards achieving the goals. When the analytics expose the cause-and-effect relationships between strategy and execution, questions may arise involving stakeholders, including investors, vendors, partners, and competition. Strategy & execution may require corrective actions and interventions to be made. The leadership now gets tasked to improve future performance.
